My daughter absolutely loved this. I get worried about my kids falling asleep on their cell phones. (Yeah, I know, cell phone studies have "mixed" results as to whether or not they cause cancer.) Ironically, our government could easily fund a huge study to determine the risks between the length of time on them, ways they are used (speakerphone or next to the head), and ways they are carried and if there is any increase in cancer in those areas but for some reason-cough-special interest lobbyists-cough- they don't. Anyway, this is a place for you to plug your cell phones in, and you don't have to reach too far to get them off your bed--in fact, you don't even have to roll over to a nightstand. Plus, you can store other items on it or put up some decorations or, if you are really old-fashioned, you could set a 4x6 book you are reading on it. It was easy enough for my teen to assemble herself and connect to her bedframe. It did take a few hours, though. The only thing I didn't personally like is that you only have the fake wood option. Black and white (or a mix) would have been nice alternatives.
