Much higher quality hives than expected. I have built around a dozen hives from various companies and these are among the best. Dovetail joints are tight and precisely cut. No broken pieces. Even came with a light wax coating. Only two pages of instructions, but still easy to put together. Haven't tried the flow frames yet, but they look identical to the ones I have used previously.Great quality of wood!Came in two separate shipmentsWe were able to open the frames and harvest honey from the flow hive. But have not been able to re close the frames. We have tried many times, I have watched videos to how it’s done but ours will not close. Any suggestions from someone who’s had the same problem would be greatly appreciated. One of the videos we watch suggested using two keys to open and close the frames, just ordered our second key and will try that. For the first year the bees never used the flow hive frames, and since we had bought 2 hives, we were kind of disappointed. They built everywhere else. This year we left one frame out of a flow hive because we had caught a swarm and used a flow frame hive to catch it in. The bees filled the empty place with their own honey comb, and decided to fill the flow frames as well. Although it wasn't fun digging out all of the honey comb to add the last frame again, it was a pleasure to harvest using the flow frames today. As a newer bee keeper I can tell you this was WAY simpler than the first 3 times we harvested this year on traditional frames. The honey is much purer, and the process was way less messy. My wife never thought she could be a beekeeper until today. It was worth the wait. Great product.
