I bought this because both of my kitties love (and occasionally fight over) the hammock on one of the cat trees I have. Unfortunately, neither will use this after several months even though this is larger and seems like it would be more comfortable - esp for the 9lb girl over the 7lb girl.I am keeping it because I want to think that one day...Overall this is a good and solid hammock bed. My cat definitely likes it. Though I feel like she’s not super comfy in it when she’s in it for a long period of time because she’s all curled up. She likes to lay flat and stretch out her legs a lot when she sleeps but she also likes hammock bed so I’m going to invest in a flat/horizontal one and see which one works better for her need and is to her liking.Assembling it together was a tiny bit tricky because the screws and the legs were not perfectly lined up on one side and the screw and nut won’t proper fit together because the drill hole was poking out slightly so the screw won’t go in flesh to the leg with the nut when screwed on, because the poked out part made the screw too short on the other side to be righted together with the nut, but I made it work.*Pro tip: If you assembled it for your cat and it feels a bit wonky/wobbly, get a plier and a screw driver. Use the plier to hold the nut and tighten the screws in properly and it’ll be very secure and not wobbly (and your cat definitely won’t fall out if it due to it collapsing)The assembly instructions aren't much help; you have to really look at the diagram and then figure it out on your own. Fortunately it was not too difficult to figure out. The two semi circle metal pieces that thread through the fabric have narrow ends and wide ends and you have to insert the narrow into the wide. It was a bit difficult to get the narrow end sufficiently into the wider end so that the holes for the screws line up with the main assembly. I had to use a hammer and even then did not get them in 100%. However, it finally was assembled and sprayed with cat pheromone calming spray and presented to my cat. So far she is willing to put the front half of her body into it so she can retrieve treats, but she has not yet fully climbed into it to use as a bed. My cat is finicky so you might have better luck.We have 2 cats…Ruby hates the hammock! Max on the other hand lives in it! Max is a larger cat about 20 pounds pretty long. We have had this hammock for a year now and have had only one issue. One of the leg supports keeps poping out. No issues with it supporting Max though! She really does live this thing. We have placed a small quilt over the top and she will jump in and hid under the quilt. We will defiantly buy again if needed. My cat loves hammocks and this is no different. The velcro comes undone on occasion but easy to fix.Easy to assemble and also doesn’t tip when my cats get in them. Plenty of room for 14 lb cats. Very soft and breathable materialAt first I was afraid my cats didn't enjoy these new beds. They were very easy to put together, and I put their favorite blankets in the bed to encourage them to go in. However, the footing is not stable when they step in, because of the hammock style. Imagine when a human gets into a hammock, it's not steady at first but then gets better. However, after removing the blankets a few days ago, I just found my big 12 lb, floof chonk enjoying the bed. There's room to spare, and an hour later he's sound asleep. Because of the material and elevation off the floor, they're not very warm. But, I think these will be great this coming summer, because I dont have air conditioning. The bed frame itself is impressively stable, the material is high quality and is ventilated. Overall, happy with the purchase! The instructions to assemble were a little confusing, which was especially baffling since it was a simple process once I figured it out. It was so confusing that when a friend of mine ordered one, he had to call me so I could walk him through it. That being said, my cats like this thing so much that I had to buy two more, they kept fighting over it. There is always a cat in one of the hammocks, if not all three. For the price, I'd say this is a great deal. I've spent way more than $25 on cat beds that my cats only occasionally use. And if you think it's a hammock and there's no way your cat will climb into something like that, well so did I and I was so wrong.
