I purchased this to replace another bedframe I had that was supposedly sturdy. I will admit I am plus size (5'3, 260 and my hubby is 6'0, 230). The bed was great but not quite comfortable. My hip had been hurting and I wasn't sleeping which started the new mattress. Sleeping on the mattress with the old frame my hip did get better but was still achy (I know it will take some time) and I wasn't sleeping great. Last night my 17 year old son and I assembled the frame easily. Everything is solid-none of the thin metal slats, in between, that some have. It is also all 1 piece and isn't 2 twins held together by those twisty cap screw thingamajigs. Last night I was finally able to get a good night's sleep and my hip is feeling better (still achy but not as noticeable without pain meds). I feel like this frame will last longer and was cheaper than my last one. I will also note that I bought the 14 inch frame and a 14 inch mattress and my 5'3 shorty self is able to get on/off without a step stool.
